AcademyWomen is an organization created by and for academy women as a ready source of support, mentorship, personal and professional development. AcademyWomen is aligned for the greater good of the academies and the military. It is our belief that every woman who chooses to serve her country should be fully prepared to do so. We stand behind this belief by providing programs that support and enable women to reach their full potential as leaders.

The eMentor program will be implemented through a state-of-the-art eMentor website which will pair protégés with mentors for one-on-one, email-based mentoring relationships.
Each year AcademyWomen hosts a leadership symposium to provide members the opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues and to grow professionally and personally through keynote messages and panel discussions. Our distinguished speakers are respected leaders from the public and private sectors who offer their support, personal advice and motivation to our members.
Our Career Coaching and Professional Development Workshops and programs provide professional development opportunities, discussions and resources for our members to assist them in their success throughout all stages of their careers. In the future, AcademyWomen will host Pod-Casts & Tele-Seminar Series which will provide insight into specific career paths, and share stories of success in a particular field.
AcademyWomen publishes a quarterly online eNewsletter filled with interesting and relevant featured articles, events and announcements. Each edition highlights the accomplishments of academy women and focuses on topics of importance to our members.
AcademyWomen facilitates a network through our local chapters that builds upon the mission of AcademyWomen. Our chapters host local events, networking opportunities and provide additional resources for professional and personal development.
When an academy woman passes, we honor their memory in a special way and show support to their family. In addition, our fallen sister’s memory is honored during a remembrance ceremony held during our annual symposium. During this ceremony, AcademyWomen presents to each family, a memento created by fellow academy women graduates.
AcademyWomen supports (and plans to conduct) research focusing on the professional development of academy women in the military, academy women transitioning to civilian careers, and academy women in professions subsequent to their active duty service.
